How to impress a Geek guy? (collection of valuable tips)

thinking girlAfter telling everyone about how good Geeks are as Boyfriends, I received 3 proposals via Emails from girls in different corners. Also, there were many Emails asking the Same question! “How to impress a geek guy?” I am happy that finally girls have stated hunting for Geek guys. Today, I will give some tips to girls on How to impress guys. Even though some of the points will be valid for all boys, but most of them are specially targeted towards geeks.

  1. Understand the basic rule: “A way to a guy’s heart is through his Stomach”. Feed him with delicious food and half your problem is solved.
  2. When it comes to gifting him, consider giving Latest gadgets as gifts.
  3. Talk about the technical difficulties you face, when your Gadgets don’t work well or if your PC keeps crashing every now-and-then.
  4. Behave as if you are interested in whatever he does. Don’t forget giving him enough freedom!!
  5. Get updated with the latest technologies by surfing the Internet and talk to him regarding it. Try to be a source of new information to him. This will create interest in his mind for you.
  6. Geeks like praise! Tell him that he is the Geekiest and the Smartest person you have ever met. He will like your Compliment. Learn some technical terms and try giving Geeky compliments! But don’t compliment something weird, it might prove to be your Bad.
  7. Ask him for advice before buying any electronic gadget. They like people who ask for advice from them!
  8. Be the first one to wish him when it comes to special days like his “BirthDay”. Call him at midnight or send a personal message from FaceBook or Twitter(Calling is advised)
  9. Give him hints that you like him however he is. You also like his Geekyness. Make him feel that you would love to have someone like him as your partner.
  10. When it comes to Dating, you should know that there is no other place rather than the Electronic superstore that will interest him! (He may also like some other places)
  11. Discuss you personal problems with him and help him out with his stuff too. Geeks can understand that everyone is not like them! So, even if you talk about your personal problems with them,it is perfectly fine. It will only make them feel special. (but do not keep cribbing every time)

Remember that do not do excess of anything, as it will appear quite artificial. Even though most of the points here will help you, use them only when necessary.

Hey girls, don’t forget to tell me whom you find! I may be his friend, and may help you if needed. After all, Many of the Geek Bloggers out there are my friends!

I’m not a geek..I’m not a geek.. haha.. My girl hate when I talking about techie things..

  • http://computelive.com Compute Live

Hahaha Nice… I think best way to impress a geeky guy is to talk about internet and tech.. This will keep the guy going…

I wonder what will happen in a relationship, where both girl and the guy are geeks, but the girl is more smarter than the guy… ;)

  • http://techfreakstuff.com Rohit Sane

Good man Taufiq! Atleast you are among those lucky people who have got GFs. Geeks are impressive too, if you carefully observe them!

  • http://techfreakstuff.com Rohit Sane

@Compute Live: Yeah! It creates interest in their mind for you, Which is always good. And some respect about you being intellectual too.

  • http://choosyinfo.com Ruchi

Sometimes I feel that geeks are from some other planet, because they can understand computer’s feelings but not girl’s feeling. So, all girls beware to have a geek boyfriend , otherwise after sometime , he will convert you to geek . But I have to admit, that geeks are really good from heart ( mostly) :).

  • http://www.goblogger.net Isaac | GoBlogger

If you’re handsome, geek or no geek is not a problem. Chicks will still like you. LOL

  • http://techgenuine.com Ricky

So you are becoming a love guru. Lol. Nice points. Geeks always like to advice other people on technical field.

  • http://techfreakstuff.com Rohit Sane

Yeah Ricky! It makes them proud that someone is respecting then and asking advice from them.

  • http://techfreakstuff.com Rohit Sane

Geeks have a good heart mostly. I agree with you Ruchi.

I remember meeting an engineering student who was painfully shy. We were in college, and he was sharing an apartment with my friend. At one point I came to his doorway and said, “Oh, I see you have a spectrometer! Cool! It reminds me of the one in my lab…” (not kidding here). He started talking glowingly about the spectrometer, and I almost could not shut him up. From then on, every time I saw him, he talked and talked and talked. Geeks love gadgets!

  • http://www.serradinho.com George Serradinho

Well, some of these pointers are really good. I really liked the one about the electronic superstore, I’m sure many guys in general would like that :)

  • http://www.michaelaulia.com/blogs Michael Aulia

Ahahah another nice post. Too bad that in my culture, girls tend to be passive and want the guy to be actively seeking them

But I guess this is still a good advice to open that opportunity :D

    @rungss on Twitter

  • http://techfreakstuff.com Rohit Sane

@Bijay Rungta: I don’t understand how to make you believe what I say! Can you tell me any way by which I can prove it? Answer frankly if you want that. I am not a lair!

  • http://freetechjournal.com SaurabhStar

Amusing content! looks one sided (advantageous to geeks). I should raise my eyebrow to 4th and 10th point as I don’t find 4th, 10th point very reasonable.
Subscribed to your feeds via email(Really interesting posts on your site making me freaky in tech -:P ). Started following u on Twitter too. Keep posting.. All the Best!!!

  • gringo

I’m a tech geek and now after reading this I finally understand why the sister of one one my friends is behaving the way she is. Asking me for advice once a while, praising me, sharing some stuff about her life also.
    I hate being so naive!

“as if you are interested” << if you are not then do ++NOT++ act like it :S

#4 is also the same :P "Behave as if you are interested in whatever he does"

you don't need to do that -_- us "Geeks can understand that everyone is not like [us]”

< Binary ,, but I’m not that bored :P ++ it was gonna take a lot of time :S

thinking of it :S , I can easily tweak an old program I made to make do it for me :P :P :P :P

    Also add this point…

    G33ks works continuously.
That does not mean they forget you(GF) :)

  • Angie

And if he’s also a gamer, then girls should respect that he loves to game and they should not get in the way of that (i.e. don’t try to get him out of playing games every time he wants to play) :) There are always worse things he can do, like getting smashed off his face and cheating on you. There is moderation in everything and if he cares about you, he will spend time with you and make time for his games. My bf is a gamer and so are most of our male friends, but luckily I’m a girl gamer so it’s easy for me to get along with them :)
