Breaking News: TechCrunch.com Hacked!
TechCrunch.com, the worlds most popular blog on technology has been hacked! It is showing weird messages on the Homepage..

First it showed the message using a link as “rapidshare downloads” which was redirecting to a different website. After 3 minuted the message changes and it was showing showing a “Hi” message.

Now it changed again and it is showing “We’ll be back shortly”.

The Techcrunch Owners and bloggers should take some step very soon. It does not appear to be a DNS hijack as all the DNS servers are showing proper values. It appears to be a server hijacking. Just my guess.
Update: TechCrunch is Back on Track!
Update: TechCrunch got hacked again. Appears to be a recurring hack! “We’ll be back shortly” message is shown again!
Update: Also a weird message is shown on one of its post! Check the following screenshot:

Update: TechCrunch is up again! But some of the post pages are not opening.
Update: Every link is working now!
Update: TechCrunch has not recovered completely! The About Page shows a funny message. Check the ScreenShot.

Update: Now most of the Static pages are showing 404 errors! and the Home page is showing the the earlier “We’ll be back shortly” message!
Update: All the Static pages as well as the Post pages along with the Home Page are showing the Same message! “We’ll be back shortly”
Update: A message is posted on every page saying:
“Earlier tonight techcrunch.com was compromised by a security exploit.
We’re working to identify the exploit and will bring the site back online shortly.”

Update: Techcrunch is back and all the pages are loading properly. I hope this will be the last update!

Is TechCrunch using Wordpress platform for their blogging, I thought they have made a personal platform for them, as far as best of my knowledge they are not using Wordpress.

That’s really scary. I faced the same problem last month as my blog got hacked by France hacker but managed to recover again. Be careful of hackers.
