Solution to : ComLuv Plugin “bad juju” error
I faced this issue last week! ComLuv plugin on many blogs was giving me a bad juju error when I entered my Blog URL in the URL field of their Comment form. For those who don’t know about it, let me tell you that this plugin usually publishes the latest post of your Blog URL which you enter in the URI field. My latest blog-post was not being shown and instead a “Bad JUJU happened” message was shown, which was really irritating me. So, I started surfing the Comment Luv plugin website to find out weather I can somehow get rid of this error.
After about 30 minutes of hard-core surfing I landed on a page which told me about the UnBan URL option and after that it all was back to normal.
I also came to know that my URL was “Banned for having 3 feed errors”. I have now realized that feed errors were arising because I was not using the www prefix in my URL address when my non-www URL has a 301 permanent redirect to that URL.
Anyway, If you are facing this similar problem just follow the following steps:
- Register yourself at the Member’s Page
- Register your URL
- UnBan your URL
If the issue does not get fixed after doing this then I will suggest you to get in touch with Andy [developer of ComLuv], but in the mean time you can always try unbanning your URL again.
For now, my bad juju problem is solved. Tell me what about your case now!

for Normal users who only manage 1 url, if you need to manage more than 1 you need a premium account.

When you get that error just click on the red button following the end of the error line. When you click at the arrow the dropbox has a link to unban your url .

Thanks for sharing, wants to know that, is it possible that in comment box, we place a different website, and show the feed of other website in the comment using comluv?

@Merchant Capital: There is a small trick. Insert the URL of which the Feed you want to be displayed in the URL field. But just before clicking the Submit Comment button, Change the URL field so that the Feed is an old one and the New URL is linked to your Name.

This had happened with me the last time when my site went down due to my host. I resolved it after finding some search results in google about this topic. But it is funny how they came up with that phrase “Bad juju” lol

Using Google search could save your time!
By the way, if you searched by the keywords “Bad JUJU happened” probably you could find the solution on my blog when I contacted with Andy and asked him a few helpful questions!
Probably I was the second person who wrote about it
I like this kind of posts a lot when you try to share with other what they have to do when they face a problem!
Thanks,
Hesham

What help does this plugin do for a commentator Rohit? I haven’t installed this plugin in my blog, but if i find a good reason for using this plugin, i will definitely use this.

@Sathish: It allows a link to the Commenter’s latest blog post from the comment section of your blog. So the commenter’s content gets more visibility!!
