10 Tricks to Identify if a Person is a Tech Geek

After the amazing success of my Geek Boyfriend series which consisted of just two posts (more may come soon) namely “Why Geek Boyfriends are better?” and “How to impress a Geek guy?“, we are bringing to you one more post in this series which may interest you!

Most of us keep on thinking over what to talk with a stranger. I think, this problem can be solved pretty easily if you get some idea about the nature and the likes and dislikes of the person. And today, we are going to give you some tips to identify a Tech Geek. The following characteristic behaviors of technology freak distinguishes him/her from the rest.

1- Cellphone check – Most Tech Geeks are addicted to Cellphones, they really can’t live without it! And if the person keeps on checking their Mobile Phone often then he/she is a Tech Lover, not sure about Geek though! (The chances are high if the person is using a Smart Phone and doing some troubleshooting with it)

2- The Dress code – Tech Geeks always want to be comfortable and 70% of them prefer wearing T-shirts and Jeans. If you are in a Cafe its okay, but suppose you are in a 5-star restaurant and you see a Guy wearing Jeans and a loose T-shirts; 50% chances that he is a Tech Geek.

3- The Back Pack – In general, Tech Freaks love gadgets and they always carry some expensive ones where ever they go. Hence, a Back pack is always seen on their shoulders. This characteristic gives a 75% win-win chance.

4- The Attitude – Most Tech Freaks don’t care about the world, they just mind their own business! Its the carefree attitude towards others but a very careful attitude towards the gadgets which make them different from the crowd.

5- The Gadgets – Gadgets are bound to be surrounded by Tech Geeks and if the person you are trying to assess has an iPad, Galaxy Tab or any other cool Gadget, the changes are nearly 95% that he/she is a Tech Geek.

6- The Physique – Rarely you will find a Tech Geek having Arnold like physique. Geeks are either skinny or very healthy types (can be the fatso type) Totally fit geeks are hard to find!

7- The Face – Most Geeks have a blank expression on their face 90% of the times. Normal day-to-day talks may not seem interesting to them but you can note the excitement on their face when discussing about the latest technology.

8- The Talks – They would appear confused when talking about intense topics like romance. But their talks about Technology and Science make total sense as their concepts are pretty clear! They tend to crack more of technical jokes.

9- Their Table – Pay close attention to the food that is on the table and also the table! Is he/she reading the Latest updates on his Mobile Devices while having food? Is he eating the food systematically but comfortably? If you say yes, you know the answer!

10- The Fingers – All the serious Tech Freaks in the world hate to wear Rings in their fingers. It disturbs them while typing or simply irritates them. Tech Geeks do not have a lot of rings in their fingers but it cannot really be used an a sole characteristic to identify them. (It can be used with other points mentioned above)

So, the next time you observe these 10 attributes in anyone and identify a Tech Geek, don’t forget to interact. You may be talking to the next Mark Zuckerberg!
