Toshiba’s 10.1 inch HoneyComb tablet is called “Thrive” (pre-order starts)

Sometime back, we told you about the Toshiba tablet attacking Apple products on their soft-spot, namely the failure to work Flash objects. After that, we also told you our views about his Tablet from Toshiba. But there was one thing missing in the entire discussion. Did you notice that?

We never knew what would this Tablet be named as! But now, we have come across which lists the Two Toshiba Tablets for pre-order. The 8GB variant is priced at $449 and the 32GB variant will cost $579. And it clearly mentions “Toshiba 10.1-inch Thrive Tablet“, so we conclude that it is being named Thrive.

Talking about the availability in the market and the release date, we are still in the dark as these products have the “Coming Soon” tag. We never know when they will come in the market! As for the other details, our older article still stands true!

I do like the look of this offering from Toshiba, but I think I’ll wait a few more months before making a decision on which tablet to buy.

The name sounds promising and technical characteristics are not bad, but I actually read somewhere that it would be released as Toshiba REGZA AT300. Anyway, I’m still thinking if I want to pay 130$ more for 32GB variant.

Awesome.. I’ve been waiting to get a tablet that runs the new honeycomb android 3.0….! I wonder if this is the tablet that makes me cave in and buy one. The price seems right for me, as opposed to an iPad (not that I’d ever consider buying an iPad).

Samsung has launched thinnest tablet samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and many gadget manufacturers has followed it. The Toshiba tablet also seems to be a great competitor for iPad 2 and it will definitely put a challenge for many other tablets coming up in the later this year.
