Scanners are usually imagined to be laptop-sized devices which can scan documents kept on its reading surface! But, the Japanese company “Sanwa” has brought a relatively new form-factor to this very useful device!
Sanwa launched a new Standing Scanner (model number: 400-CMS011), which can scan and copy documents, books and any other publication in a quick and easy way! The documents as large as A4 size can be scanned by placing it under the 40cm high arm of the 400-CMS011 scanner.
An AutoFocus enabled CMOS camera with a native resolution of 2048 × 1536 pixels is used for scanning and it can save files directly to the computer in different formats like : BMP / JPG / PNG / TIF / J2K / JP2 / JPC / RAS / TGA
This scanner can also be used for recording videos at 30fps in WMA and AVI formats.
Sanwa’s 400-CMS011 Standing Scanner is compatible with most of the versions of windows, including Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. It is currently sold in Japan at around 20,000 Yen!
