Samsung to introduce it’s own Waterproof phone Galaxy Xcover 2

With the progress in technology, many new inventions are on the horizon. Recently, Sony launched the waterproof tablet – Xperia Tablet Z. Going on the same lines, Samsung has decided to launch it’s own waterproof Smartphone. It goes by the name Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2. It is the latest addition to the Samsung’s popular Galaxy series.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 is a perfect phone for those who are enjoying outdoor lifestyles and seeking a durable mobile device with essential Smartphone capabilities.The Galaxy Xcover 2 is optimized to endure against the most rugged outdoor conditions, whether you’re at work or play. Protected against the elements, it is dust and sand proof. It’s even water resistant to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes. An individual can now take photos under water with the direct camera key, hold on tight to your device with the strap holder and not worry about dropping your phone as the battery cover lock gives added protection. This is a very exciting feature which cannot be found on other Smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 runs on the Android OS Jelly Bean 4.1 which gives an individual a better user experience. The device is packed with a series of innovative features and services to boost performance and the overall user experience. The intuitive Motion UI understands your movements to shake and update or turn over to mute. Data can be synced, backed up and restored with S-Cloud, S Voice lets users control the phone using their voice, allowing you to see the weekly weather forecast, the contact number you’re trying to find or even take a picture as you speak.

So it is good mid-range device with a design that differs vastly from the other Galaxy Smartphones. Samsung has not revealed the price of this phone.

    As a current Galaxy owner, I think this is a great idea. Whether you intend to take it in the water or it happens accidentally, at least you won’t have to worry about ruining it!

    Looks pretty sweet at first glance.Set to be showcased during next month’s (Febuary) MWC 2013 conference, the IP67 certified Samsung Xcover 2 is something I’m looking at as a work moby for all our employees here at Handyman Solutions as it is very durable and will withstand being dropped from top pockets into pub toilets and pints of beer which is a massive bonus.
