BlackBerry Z10 launched in India for Rs. 43,490

Blackberry recently revealed its new BB10 Operating system! The Smartphone employing the latest BB10 is the newest disclosure proving as a significant competitor to the other present in the market, notably Apple, Samsung and Nokia. The launch in India has taken place very soon after the smartphone was globally launched. Therefore it is a giant step towards securing a leadership position in the Indian market and having a strong foothold in the Smartphone ecosystem which is currently governed by other platforms.

The device is powered with a dual-core processor which clocks at 1.5GHz in conjunction with 2GB of RAM. Additionally, the internal storage resident on the Smartphone is 16GB. Fitted in with 8-megapixel rear camera, it can aid in capturing 1080p videos. Also, there is a feasibility 2-megapixel camera in the front. The device is boosted with 1,850 mAh battery and according to the claims from the company; this provides 10 hours of talktime and 312 hours of standby time. BlackBerry Z10 is a full-touch device with a 4.2-inch LCD screen and that exhibits a 1280×768 resolution.

Additionally the other features that are associated along-with device are the advanced predictive typing, Messenger with voice calling and Time Shift (an advanced camera feature). The notable aspect of the Z10 is that it supports eight languages. Along these lines, there have been plans announced for the new phone by the operators such as Idea Cellular, Aircel and Tata DoCoMo.

The MRP of the Blackberry Z10 is Rs. 43,490 and will be available in retail stores from Wednesday. Pre-ordered devices will start shipping tomorrow itself! We expect the Z10 to be available at retail shops for around Rs. 38,000.

Our talks with one of the Blackberry officials helped us get some information about the launch of the Q10 smartphone too. The Official didn’t wish to be named, but gave us a tentative idea that the Q10 will arrive in the first half of May 2013.
