Acer introduces 3 new Windows 8 devices: Acer Iconia W3 tablet, Aspire P3 Ultrabook and Aspire R7 Notebook

Acer India today has announced a new breed of Windows 8 powered touch enabled devices. These revelations are remarkably slim and are designed to take the role of dual functionalities. As we advance forward to the growing age of technology, tablet and touch – notebook computers are marking the change with respect to touch technology. Slowly and steadily users are moving to a touch-centric way of computing for everyday tasks rather than physically using other facilities to perform their actions. Activities like web browsing, checking email, and entertainment have been accessible in a touch-centric way. Also, this new line of mobile products will shape the company’s focus on redefining the computing experience through progressive design.

Acer Iconia W3

The Iconia W3 is a slim and sleek device (only 11.35 mm thin) and weighs just 540 grams. Thus it can be taken anywhere and it ensures that it fulfils the portability aspect. The revelation is available with an optional full-size Bluetooth keyboard which assists in holding the tablet upright for typing and this can be conveniently docked to the tablet so that it can lay flat for easy, screen-protected transportation. Furthermore, the Acer Iconia W3 is designed with a virtual keypad sized for optimal thumb typing. The Iconia W3 will be available at a price of Rs 30,499/- onwards.

Aspire P3 Ultrabook

Acer Aspire P3 Ultrabook runs on Windows 8 and delivers all the benefits of an Ultrabook in a unique design that easily transforms into tablet-mode. The Ultrabook weighs 1.3 kilograms and measures 0.77-inches thin. The Acer Aspire P3 Ultrabook is built in such a way that it provides excellent performance and long battery life with the facilitation of the portability factor. The Aspire P3 is priced from Rs 54,499/- onwards.

Touch-and-type Aspire R7 notebook

The Windows 8 powered Aspire R7 notebook features a 15.6″ Full 1080p HD touch screen that has been resourcefully designed for the new computing lifestyle, which increasingly combines touch and type. The revelation possesses a repositioned keyboard and the revolutionary Ezel hinge that helps in moving the display forward and into different positions. This disclosure can be utilized with four modes of operation in the form of a conventional notebook, a pad, a display, or switched to “Ezel”. This allows the screen to float over the keyboard at various angles. The Aspire R7 will be available from Rs 74,999/- onwards.
