Posted in Tech-News Updates By Vansh AgrawalNNG and Ayana Navigation Solutions (ANS) have joined forces to provide a navigation device specially customized for Indian roads – ANS Navigator A-501.
The ANS Navigator A-501 is high quality powerful device, which uses the NNG’s renowned iGO primo software as a guidance tool. The pocket navigation device (PND) is conformed to the latest Indian maps with over 7 million points of interest to view. The PND also comes with a 1 year map update guarantee from NNG’s update portal Naviextras.com.
Commenting at the launch, the representatives of both the NNG and the ANS stated about the need of good navigation system in a large demographic such as India to reduce the stress of the drivers and the need of optimized, comfortable driving experience. The road safety will also improve with more information being available to make a better choice to the driver.
The salient features such as Integrated Quick Search allows the users to begin trips without delay. The search mechanism is updated, with the driver only having to enter the first three letters to kick-start the search engine to look about the relative points of interests, favorites and other such choices to select from. The Intuitive Navigation feature in iGO primo merges all available resources such as map, POI data, registered driving speed, and the ability of fast recalculation in a single superior navigation experience. With all this information available to the system it prepares the driver to counter unexpected situations such as sudden traffic by offering detours.
Key Features of the A-501 are:
- Point Addressing – For more exact destination-finding, addresses are stored as individual points on the map
- Natural Guidance – Voice guidance in the common way humans instruct each other, making reference to shops, monuments, bridges and more.
- Enhanced Junction View – Realistic and high-quality images of junctions that simplify turning maneuvers
- Live Traffic – Online traffic messages that warn the driver of congested road sections
- Historical Speed – Considers past traffic data when calculating the best route based on the day of the week and the time of day
The new PND will be available in car dealerships, retail channels & aftermarket accessory stores from October, 2013.
