Sony launches the Sony Xperia C in India for Rs. 21,490

Sony Xperia is one of the most popular series in the smartphone industry and Sony has now added the Sony Xperia C to the Xperia series. The newest Sony Xperia C comes under the upper mid range price bracket. This newest addition is especially designed for immersive entertainment.

The Sony Xperia C has a 5”inch screen of resolution 960x540pixels, the smartphone is powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor. This is the first Sony smartphone which uses MediaTek processors. The smartphone runs on the Android 4.2 JellyBean OS. It has an internal memory of 4GB but can be expanded, while the RAM memory is a competent 1GB. It supports all basic connectivity features like 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and furthermore it supports dual SIM too.


The USP of the phone is its design which uses the same Omnibalance design as that of its flagship Z1, the design gives it a distinctive look and makes it stand out. It also has been designed to give the most comfortable grip according to Sony.

An interesting feature is the use of color changing illuminations to alert the user about calls, text, alarms or other utilities. The camera is 8MP combined with Sony’s Exmor R sensor and HDR gives high quality pictures and videos. It also offers the feature of smart voice guide in which voice command will be used as a reference to frame the shot.

‘Beauty shot’ is another feature inculcated in the smartphone, which as the name suggests captures the perfect shot by balancing out harsh lighting or other disruptions.

Sony smartphones comes with its own set of applications and this one is no different. It comes with an “WALKMAN” app which provides access to all your music and movies at a single location. It also organizes the Facebook pictures and gives a more refined search through the use of the new ‘Faces’ software.
