Warner Bros have released Theme-like Personas, for Mozilla Firefox so that the crazy Potter fans don’t even have to be even a bit away from their Hero while surfing the Internet!

A set of four Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Personas for Mozilla Firefox have been released and using them is an Amazing feeling even though I am not a Harry Potter Fan.

You just need to Install the Personas Firefox Add-on which is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. (Restart Firefox for completing installation)

Once the Add-On is Installed go to Warner Bros. Pictures Gallery where you can find the four amazing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince Personas.

Click on Wear this below the Persona you like and you have a completely new look to your favorite Browser. These Personas give a transparent-like look to your Tabs similar to the Windows AERO interface.

P2P 2.0: LittleShoot File Sharing in a Browser [Peer-To-Peer]

P2P Client softwares like LimeWire and Ares are the part of our Daily use. We just can’t help ourselves download and share content with our friends. But for using Limewire and Ares, we need to download the Client software in order to use the P2P network. Can you Imagine Limewire running inside your Browser just as a common AJAX website? Adam Fisk, the former lead engineer at LimeWire for 4 years has designed a Web-Application called LittleShoot to overcome all of LimeWire’s shortcomings, from ease of use to legal issues to the underlying technology.

LittleShoot is a standards-based peer-to-peer application that works directly from your browser with the most powerful searching, publishing, and downloading technology available today.

Being similar to LimeWire, LittleShoot is basically a tool for:
1. Publishing (transmitting)
2. Searching (finding new signals)
3. Downloading (receiving)

It is like Google for files instead of web pages!(just an exaggeration)

For using LittleShoot you just need to Download the LittleShoot Plug-in, Install it and you are done.

Now you can start searching for shared content in the peer-to-peer network. Don’t worry, its quite fast. One reason LittleShoot search is fast, is because the LittleShoot plugin caches results. This means when you click through your searches, your browser is usually accessing results information already on your computer instead of going through the Internet again. iTouch and iPhone has everyone running after them. Since the launch of iPhone, it has been observed that increasing number of iTouch users are opting for iPhone even after owning an iTouch. Loaded with several Cool new features, it has also got Faster than its predecessor(base version 9.5) Many of the Bugs are fixed too.

AutoRefresh if Website Not Loading in FireFox

Many-a-times it happens that we try opening a website but the request gets timed-out or the web server is down momentarily. It can also be a result of too much load on the server or maybe your own Internet connection getting interruptions. In majority cases, this error gets corrected after refreshing the website using the F5 key or the refresh option in the browser toolbar. But sometimes, we keep on refreshing but to no avail.

While working with a number of tabs in FireFox, it might be a tedious job to keep refreshing each tab when you get an Internet disconnection. So here is TryAgain, which is a Mozilla FireFox Add-on.

TryAgain v3.2 keeps refreshing web-pages when they do not load in the first attempt. So, you don’t need to manually go to each and every tab and reload it. Its like someone is doing this work automatically for you after each 5 to 10 seconds(you can customize the refreshing interval)

And if the server doesn’t respond after several attempts you can always have a look at the web-page through Google Cache or the WayBack Archive.
So now your refreshing job appears to have taken a back step. Enjoy with this automatic refresher!!

Make Older Plugins and Add-ons Work with Firefox3.0

All the beta releases of Mozilla Firefox 3.0 have had a great number of downloaders.Also the Mozilla Firefox RC1 is a hit among the the Internet Freaks.But the only problem with these browsers is that the older add-ons From Mozilla’s collection don’t work(not compatible) with them.As Mozilla has a great number of addictive add-ons and I’m among the one addicted to many of them,it was a hard time for me to stop using them as soon as I downloaded the beta versions and the RC1 of Firefox3.0.But I came across a trick which makes older add-ons work with the latest Firefox editions.

DO NOT TRY THIS unless you are comfortable editing the advanced preferences of your browser. I am not responsible for any troubles with your browser but this trick worked fine for me.So I m sharing this with you.

The key to this fix is to prevent Firefox from checking its version number before it tries to load the installed extensions. To do this, you will need to set a new preference value. Point your browser at the URL “about:config”, then right-click on the preferences list to bring up the contextual menu. You should see an option that says “New” .Select that, and choose “Boolean”. When it asks you for the preference name, type “extensions.checkCompatibility” (without the quotes). You have to enter this name exactly. For this value, choose “false”.

Now restart Firefox. When the browser comes back up, it might give you a warning that version checking is disabled. You can double-check under “Tools:Add-Ons” to make sure everything is activated once again.

In the worst case,the browser won’t start after you add the new preferences.So you’ll need to remove it by hand. Locate the file “prefs.js” within your Firefox profile directory and edit it with any text file editor to delete the line with the preference you just created. (If you are unable to understand these steps then its advisable not to try this trick)
