Even though I knew that it was possible to exchange the Default Clicking buttons of the Mouse, it had not come to my mind unless reminded by my dad. Let me tell you, I am still using that partially working mouse and not yet purchased a new mouse.

The Method to make the Mouse Right Click as the Default Click in place of Left click is not as difficult as it might seem. You just need to do the following:
Step 1: Write “Mouse” in the Search bar of Windows Vista or Windows 7 Start menu. Select the Mouse option. For any other Windows, you can go to Mouse Properties.

Step 2: Check the Checkbox in Mouse Options to interchange the Clicking Buttons on your Mouse. This will change the Mouse Right Click to your Left Click. Look at the screenshot below:

You are done. You can have fun exchanging your Mouse Button Functionalities!

Notepad tricks

Notepad Trick 1 : Use Notepad as a Log Book
Open notepad >> Write .LOG in the first line >> Save the File and close it.
When you open this file again, you will see the current date and time and you can enter your activities there to keep a Log of what you have done at what time. You can save this file as a Diary! You can press F5 to refresh and get the current time.

Notepad Trick 2 : World Trade Center Attack
Open notepad >> Write Q33N >> Increase Font size to 72 >> Change Font to Wingdings
This will show you how the World Trade Center episode happened. First the Plane hit two towers and then caused lots of damage.

Notepad Trick 3 : 4335 Trick
Open notepad >> Write this app can break in the first line >> Save the File and close it.
After opening the file again, you will see that it contains all encoded characters. It happens if we enter four words separated by spaces, wherein the first word has 4 letters, the next two have three letters each, and the last word has five letters. Then Notepad Automatically hides the text into unknown code.
It also works if you type AAAA BBB CCC DDDDD or any other 4-3-3-5 letter combination.

Notepad Trick 4 : Shut Down the Computer
Open notepad >> Write

msg * I am tired.
shutdown -c “So, Bye Bye” -s
>> Save the File as AnyName.bat
When you will open this file, your Computer will Shut down on its own after showing the message in it.

Notepad Trick 5 : Open Notepad Continuously
Open notepad >> Write

START %SystemRoot%\system32\notepad.exe
GOTO top
>> Save the File as AnyName.bat
When you try to open this file, Multiple Notepad Windows will keep opening up.

Let me tell you(most of you will already know) that Windows Vista Ultimate has a feature known as DreamScene which allows you to set a Video as a BackGround. But this feature is not present in any other versions of Windows Vista. As most of the people have already shifted to Vista from their old OS, I will give a detailed tutorial on how you can get started with DreamScene.

Download the DreamScene pack for Vista. It is a RAR file. Extract the RAR file in any folder and then follow the steps:

1. Run “Install.bat” file with Administrator rights (i.e. Right Click on it and Click on: Run as administrator)
2. Follow the steps in the command prompt
3. Reboot, or Run “Reload.bat” file with normal (non-Admin) rights (i.e. just Double Click on it)

After you follow these steps Right Click on your Desktop. When the list opens up, you will find an option called “Play DreamScene”. This shows that you have installed this Vista Add-On properly.

Just remember that you can only play .WMV or .MPG files as your video Backgrounds. Now Right Click on the Video file you want to play as your Background. Select “Set as Desktop Background”. Once you do it, you cam see the same Video playing in your Desktop as the Wallpaper.

If you want to Pause this video in the Background, just Right click on the Desktop and select “Pause DreamScene”. You are done now!

Many people who still use XP miss this feature! You can use the XPScene software for Windows XP to use this feature.

But today, I will tell you a small trick to convert any Folder into a Recycle Bin or My Computer

Just Imagine if your Friend/Parent/Sibling clicks on any Folder and without any error the My Computer window opens. The first thing that will come to his/her mind is V!RUS.

That will be so much fun! You can just tell them that he/she has done something wrong and now let you deal with it. You can also blame them for their Dumbness or Negligence or whatever you want.

Enough of future-planning, Now let us learn the trick!

Step 1: Select the Folder you want to convert and decide what you want to convert it into.

Step 2: You just need to Right-Click on that folder and use the Rename option(without opening the folder).[i.e - You are renaming the Folder which you want to Convert]

Step 3: Now while renaming, just suffix[add at the end] the following codes to the name of the folder depending on your preferred result location:

My Computer: .{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
Recycle Bin: .{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

Step 4: Now after renaming, Refresh the page. You can see that the Icon of the Folder has Changes to Recycle Bin or My Computer[sometimes it doesn't change]. When you click on it, you will directly go to Recycle Bin or My Computer rather than entering inside the Folder.

Example: I am converting a Folder named “Old Songs” into Recycle Bin. So I will first Rename it using the code given above. [Don't forget the Stop mark before the code]

Now my Old Songs Folder shows Recycle Bin! You can carry out all the Features of Recycle Bin/My Computer using this Folder.

OK! Now we have converted the Folder into that of our choice. But, How do we get our original contents back? Its very easy: Just rename it back and remove the Code along with the Stop Mark. Now Refresh and You are Back to normal!

Some more tips: You can also convert your Folder into some more Windows tools with the following codes[I have NOT checked these codes and these might not work]:

Control Panel: .{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
Internet Explorer: .{871C5380-42A0-1069-A2EA-08002B30309D}

Sometimes while getting your Normal contents back you might not be able to rename the Folder Directly. You might have to use Command Prompt to rename it. Go to Command Prompt and browse to your Folder. Now type there:
ren Your_Folder_Name.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} Your_Folder_Name

Do not forget to change the “YOUR PASSWORD HERE” text by a strong and secure password which you want to set for your Locker.
Now save this file WHERE YOU WANT THE PASSWORD PROTECTED FOLDER as “locker.bat”. A folder named Locker will appear in the same directory. (Refresh if it does not appear)

Click on the locker.bat file and it will ask you for the password for your Locker (Not for the first time, Second time onwards) You need to give the same password which you gave while writing the BAT file in Notepad (Remember password is case sensitive) Now you can save any data in this Locker folder. After saving the data again click on the locker.bat file. It will ask you weather you want to lock this folder. Type y if you want to lock it or n if you don’t want to lock it.

You can use the locker.bat file to unlock this folder as explained above. Have fun locking your documents in your password protected folder. Ask your queries in Comments and Don’t forget to tell weather you liked this trick or no.

(Note: BAT files can be edited in Notepad (Different Notepad tricks) so any Computer savvy person might get to know your password through the locker.bat file. So it is advised that you HIDE the locker.bat file. You don’t need to hide the Locker folder because it is Hidden by Default)
