I am not crazy and I know that Twitter is a Social Media tool! It sounds weird that we are using Twitter as a keyword research tool instead of our normal Google Keywords tool for SEO. But once, you understand how to go about it and how it will profit you, you will love this idea for sure! So, first understand the fact that Twitter has got enough number of active users, so that they resemble the usage of normal users all over the world.

So, before you get confused about what I am trying to say, try to figure out how we can find the most searched keywords from Twitter at a particular time. You can always use Google Trends, but Twitter seems to show quite targeted results at the proper time.

Everyone knows that we can find the most searched keywords using the list of “Recent Trending Topics”. But keep in mind that some hashtags like #nowplaying or #IwillNever , are just used by twitter users for gaining attention and they are not the trending topics in the real Search industry. Now if you want to optimize your Blog post for local Search, then you can use Local trending topics instead of Worldwide trending topics.

After finding the proper trending topics [we will call it keywords] to write a post, just start writing your post as fast as you can and try to finish it in 15-20 minutes. But don’t publish the post yet! Wait for the right time.

Now, when will be the right time?
The right time is when the Trending Topic keywords enter the top 5 spots in the list. This is the time when people really start getting excited about the topic and start finding more and more information about it. It is observed that twitter users are the first to talk about any topic and then that topic gets viral and then covers the Search engine scene.

Now why did I ask you to post it when the Keyword Trending is really on its high. The reason:
Google starts using its QDF algorithm in this case. QDF stands for “Query Deserves Freshness” and when this algorithm is used, the Fresh posts i.e. New posts start appearing in the top pages of the Search results for that particular keywords.

Also, this is the time when a maximum people search for these keywords and its your chance to maximize your chances to be listed in the Top 3-5 rankings [because of your Fresh Content].

Remember, that if you are late in publishing the post, then even though the Search Queries for the Keywords is high, you may not get that good SE rankings and you will lose some valuable traffic too.

So go and start searching for the Twitter trending topics which are in the Niche of your Blog. I hope you will get a lot of traffic by ranking high for those keywords. Do, share with us any such tricks related to Google trends or Twitter. Looking forward to hearing from you!

HTML 5 has brought in a new generation of web-pages and now we should move ahead and forget some past things which we used to do regularly. I am in no mood to confuse you so I will directly come to the point! HTML 5 has included a lot of new Tags which I am going to tell you soon, but first we need to stop the usage of some Old HTML Tags which no longer function in HTML 5.

<acronym> Tag

The <acronym> tag was used to define acronyms in HTML 4. An acronym can be spoken as if it were a word, example NATO, NASA, ASAP, GUI.

<applet> Tag

The <applet> tag was used to define an embedded applet. You can use the<object> Tag instead of it now!

<basefont> Tag

The <basefont> tag was used to define a default font-color, font-size, or font-family for all the text in a document. But we can use CSS for this purpose now!

<big> Tag

The <big> tag was used to make text bigger.

<center> Tag

The <center> tag was used to center align text and content. We can use CSS for this purpose now.

<dir> Tag

The <dir> tag was used to define a directory list. But we can still use the <ol> and <ul> Tags.

<font> Tag

The <font> tag was used to define font face, font size, and font color of text. It was among the most used tags in HTML 4 but we have to use CSS for this purpose now.

<frame> Tag

The <frame> tag was used to define one particular window (frame) within a frameset.

<frameset> Tag

The <frameset> tag was used to define a frameset, which organized multiple windows (frames).

Note: The Frame and Frameset tags are removed because it hinders the usability of the web-page. Also, it has negative SEO implications.

<noframes> Tag

The <noframes> tag was used to display text for browsers that do not handle frames. When frames are not supported then there is no need for noframes.

<s> Tag and <strike> Tag

The <s> and <strike> tags were used to define strike-through the text. We can still use <del> instead. Also, it can be handled using CSS.

<tt> Tag

The <tt> tag was used to define teletype text. But now we can use CSS for this purpose.

<u> Tag

The <u> tag was used to define underlined text. But now we need to use CSS.

<xmp> Tag

The <xmp> tag was used to define pre-formatted text. But we can still use the <pre> tag for this purpose.

My thoughts : Review

The fun graphical interface with pocket applications, live cricket simulation and access to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace is surely going to attract the younger generation. We also need to see how the 360° marketing plan for LG (the biggest marketing plan by LG till date) works out.

The sleek design and a single back lit Button operation function is expected to be a hit. Considering all the features, the phone is decently priced and gives value for money. But, I expected LG to launch a 3G version of Cookie, but that sadly dint happen. I will call this as the only turn-off!

I faced this issue last week! ComLuv plugin on many blogs was giving me a bad juju error when I entered my Blog URL in the URL field of their Comment form. For those who don’t know about it, let me tell you that this plugin usually publishes the latest post of your Blog URL which you enter in the URI field. My latest blog-post was not being shown and instead a “Bad JUJU happened” message was shown, which was really irritating me. So, I started surfing the Comment Luv plugin website to find out weather I can somehow get rid of this error.

After about 30 minutes of hard-core surfing I landed on a page which told me about the UnBan URL option and after that it all was back to normal.

I also came to know that my URL was “Banned for having 3 feed errors”. I have now realized that feed errors were arising because I was not using the www prefix in my URL address when my non-www URL has a 301 permanent redirect to that URL.

Anyway, If you are facing this similar problem just follow the following steps:

1. Register yourself at the Member’s Page
2. Register your URL
3. UnBan your URL

If the issue does not get fixed after doing this then I will suggest you to get in touch with Andy [developer of ComLuv], but in the mean time you can always try unbanning your URL again.

For now, my bad juju problem is solved. Tell me what about your case now!

MD5 hashing is said to be a one-way hash method where it is not possible to Decrypt the Hashed string to get the original Word. But, once the string to be hashed using MD5 is indexed in Google and its hash too is indexed in Google, it is possible to reveal the original Password through it. But, doing a normal Google search won’t really make it easy for you to find the Original Strings. So, I am going to tell you about some special Search engines [most of them are derived from Google] which help in Decrypting your MD5 hashes and revealing the originally locked Passwords or Keywords.

MD5 Password Recovery
Enter the hashed string and click the “Do IT” button, you get the original Key-phrase Password.

MD5Crack
This will help you generate as well as Decrypt the MD5 hashed strings. It has a Google like interface.

GData
Allows you to enter a maximum of 5 MD5 hashed string at the same time, separated by semicolon and gives out the original words.

MD5 Decoder
This also helps in decoding the HEX coded strings which are of 32 characters.

MD5Cracker
Helps to decode as well as encode an MD5 hash.

Reverse MD5 hash
Has a Google-like look and is powered by rednoize.com. Using SHA1 is also possible with this tool.

MD5 Decrypter
Helps to Decrypt a maximum of 8 hashes at the same time. CAPTCHA is used to avoid use by spammers.

Reverse MD5 lookup
Decrypts Hash to Clear text as well as Encrypts any String into MD5 hash.

MD5 hash Database
Searches about 5 databases for the Hash, if the Clear text is found in any of those then the appropriate result is shown.

X MD5
A Chinese Search engine to decrypt MD5 hashes online.

In the modern age, we can’t really imagine ourselves without a Credit or a Debit Card! But now, A long list of new rules will change how your credit card account is handled. The New Credit Card Rules apply from today [22nd February 2010] You may just go through a short summary from Federal Reserve.

Let me tell you that this version of Law updates are supposed to be most consumer-protective in the history of credit cards Laws. Even if they are pretty tough to understand, the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act (CARD Act) has some notable changes, which are listed as below:

* Credit card companies must give 45 days notice before changing terms, including raising interest rates.
* Issuers must apply payments to balances with the highest interest rate first.
* Double-cycle billing is no longer allowed.
* Payment due dates must be the same every month.
* Issuers cannot raise the interest rate on existing balances.
* Customers must opt in to over-limit fees.
* Credit card companies cannot charge extra fees for paying your credit card bill.
* Minors will not be able to own their own credit cards.

Even after this Law Update, I don’t think it will have a fall in the number of Credit Card users. The only thing that may happen is the rise in the Debit Card users. I feel that this Credit CARD Act may somehow help in proper management but not without having a lot of restrictions on the Customers.

When considering the Indexing and Positioning priority of web-pages in META search engines, we must understand the importance of Meta tags. Meta tags are present in the <head> section of the HTML document. One of the most important Meta tag is the Meta Description tag. This tag gives the search engines instructions on what the page is all about and how they should treat it. Note that the Keywords Meta tag is not used by Google anymore.

Basic structure of Meta Description tag

<META name=”description” content=”Search engine shows the content of this tag below the title of your site when it appears in the Search Engine results” />

This tag must be present in the <head> section of the HTML Web-Page. As this tag is present in the head section, it is not visible to the normal visitors to your website. Only search engines can read it or you can observe it if you look at the source code of the web-page. Observe that this Tag need not be closed!

The contents in this Tag are included in the Search Engine results description of your web-page. Observe the Screen shot below:

Tips to create Good Meta Description Tags

• Keep the content length below 160 characters.
• Use relevant keywords but keep the sentences meaningful.
• Do not insert unnecessary keywords. Keyword spamming can get your website penalized.
• Create Unique meta descriptions on each page of your site.
• Think what people would search for and then decide the description.
• Avoid crossing the 160 characters content limit.
• Your Most Targeted keywords must be present at the start of the Description content. Keywords with lesser priority must be placed later in the description.
• Use keyword combinations rather than pure repetition.

Now these were the ideal tips for creating good Meta Description tags. It must be understood, that if you don’t create a META description tag for a web-page then the Search Engines try to create it on their own, using the content of your web-page. But, this description can be quite irrelevant too. Also, note that if you cross the 160 character’s limit then Search engines might just cut of the further part of your Description.

Example: Meta description: “This is my homepage. I write about Technology, Wordpress, SEO, etc. I love my family and I have a lot of fun with my friends too. I like to talk to strangers and understand them. I am a playful and a jolly person.”

Description in Search engines: “This is my homepage. I write about Technology, Wordpress, SEO, etc…..”

Do you observe that the keywords you used in the later part of your description got wasted and were truncated. It sometimes also happens that some important parts of the Description are considered and the others are neglected.

Depending on the keywords, the description in Search Engines could also be: “This is my homepage…. I love my family…fun with my friends too…. I am a playful and a jolly person.”

How I create Meta Description Tags

I use the following practices for creating Meta Tags for my Blog:

• I create Meta tags considering the Search Engine titles of my web-pages. I sometimes repeat the keywords in the Titles into the Meta tags to give more priority to those keywords.
• I don’t create Meta Description tags for very long and explanatory content. I let the search engines decide the important contents of that page.
• I create keyword rich yet human-understandable descriptions of Short content.
• Sometimes, I do create long meta tags with keyword rich sentences, so that the unwanted part of it is truncated by search engine according to the User’s search query. [See the explanation in example above]
• I DO NOT SPAM my Keywords!

I recently faced a problem with the Tweetmeme plugin as it was not updating my Twitter Status even when I was retweeting a lot of posts on various blogs using this plugin. So, I started using the Topsy plugin too along with the old Tweetmeme one. The reason why I dint remove the Tweetmeme plugin was, It is the most used Twitter Retweet plugin. Most people are very comfortable using it. So, I am still keeping the Topsy plugin if in-case that Tweetmeme stops working anytime.

Note: Tweetmeme Button was not working for sometime on All the blogs because there was some maintenance work going on as a small bug was being corrected.

Now I am listing for wordpress plugins which basically help your readers to ReTweet the posts on your blog. Most of them give you and option for Selection between different button sizes and Tweet using your username i.e. An @ reply will also be send to the Twitter account you specify in the settings.

TweetMeme Button

The most used wordpress Plugin for Twitter ReTweet function.

Topsy Retweet Button

The second most popular Wordpress plugin for the same.

Note: A small difference between the Tweets which the Tweetmeme and the Topsy button send out is that, the Tweetmeme button sends out the tweet with the Title of Post Specified for SEO purposes i.e. The title you specify in the All in One SEO pack. The Topsy button sends out the tweet with Title specified in your Blog post.

Retweet.com Button

It is the official wordpress plugin from Retweet.com showing number of retweets of a post.

Twitter ReTweet

This plugin supports custom URLs, so it is perfect for Google Analytics Campaign Tracking.
